gottron's papules over the knuckles
diagnosis:
dermatomyositis
examin for proximal muscle weakness/tenderness.
ask about:
dysphagia
weather the rash worsen by sunlight
if the patient is above 40 years,tell the examiner that you want to screen for malignancy(ovarian,colorectal,breast and lung)
investigations:
CK
EMG
muscle Bx
treatment:
steroids
immunosupressants
IV immunoglobulins
